- Confirmed car would not move in any gears, forward or reverse. No weird sounds. Checked to ensure cv axles were OK and found no visible external issues. Suspect internal issue inside transmission, cannot find any other issues with vehicle at this time Called customer and they mentioned they took it to a transmission shop before bringing to us, we called the shop and they drained the fluid and said it was thick, black and had clutch looking debris in the oil. The transmission is currently empty. Transmission and differential were both full and clean.
- Replaced transmission. Used 7.5L CVT fluid. Road tested – transmission functions as designed.
- Changed engine oil and filter – used 4.8qts 0w20 synthetic. Changed front and rear differential gear oil – used 3qts 75w-90 synthetic gear oil. Replaced serpentine belt, spark plugs, engine and cabin air filters, and adjusted tire pressures. Performed brake fluid flush – used 1L DOT3 brake fluid.
- Replaced front brake pads and rotors. Cleaned and lubed slides and contact points. Road tested to bed-in pads.
