- Verified clunking sound front front end. Inspected front control arms and found both lower bushings on PS front torn completely through. DS lower bushings both age cracking and tearing. All four upper bushings are torn. Recommend replacing control arms as a set as ball joints are also common failures at this mileage. Coolant low o/a – no visable signs of coolant leak. Recommend pressure test – if system does not hold pressure and no external leaks, recommend removing super charger to inspect coolers and PCV as well as carbon buildup on intake valves. Valve cover gaskets leaking – DS is dripping under engine (see pictures). Vacuum pump on front of engine is leaking. Pressure tested cooling system for 30min – no drop in pressure. Topped up coolant to full. Monitor for coolant loss or any visible leaks.
- Replaced front pads, rotors and pad wear sensors.
- APR SOFTWARE – Install/flash software.
- Removed transmission pan and replaced filter. Replaced pan gasket and cleaned transmission. Refilled with 7L of DCTF fluid and set level per Audi specifications.
- Replaced rear diff fluid with .8L of Motul 300
- Replaced Vac pump and gasket. Cleaned area around pump from previous leak. Replaced spark plugs.
