Services Performed
- No cel – no faults stored. Monitored misfire data on test drive, immediately noticed misfires on cyl 1, no other misfires showing. Remove spark plug on cyl 1 for further inspection. Plug was loose in hole, removed and checked condition. Looks OK, but gap is over spec at .045 (spec is .039-.041). Moved ignition coil to cyl 4 and torqued spark plug to to spec. Removed all 4 ignition coils and torqued all 4 plugs on drivers side bank (easy access). All plugs on that bank where very loose, torqued to spec and swapped cyl 1 with cyl 7. Test drove and it was much smoother but still registering misfires, but only in cyl 7. Recommend cyl 7 ignition coil replacement. Replaced coil with new and test drove, monitored misfire data for all 8 cylinders, not a single misfire during test drive. TPMS light on – checked and set tire pressures and reset tpms – no data from any sensors, suspect sensor issues but tire pressures are good at this time. Tires were all around 33 – set to 35. Passenger rear has a gash in sidewall but does not seem to be leaking at this time. All ignition coils are aftermarket, spark plugs are worn just past service limit. Recommend OE plugs and OEM (Denso) ignition coils as soon as possible to avoid issues in the future.
