    • Completed engine oil change, changed the oil filter and filter O ring. Torqued the filter, also replaced the drain plug gasket and torqued the drain plug. Filled oil and reset maintenance reminder. During inspection found that the front upper and lower control arm bushings are slightly torn causing front tire edge wear. Noticed that the front tires are a different brand of tire than the rear. No oil leaks visible on the bottom of the engine or transmission. Noticed very slight amount of dirt and fluid towards the passenger side top of the front of the engine. Does not seem to be harming anything at this time. Scanned faults in the vehicle and printed the report. Found multiple codes stored in the vehicle that would require further diagnostics.

    • Changed engine oil and filter, reset service reminder. Checked/set tire pressures and reset TPMS- one tire was at 48psi one tire was at 36 – set all 4 to 35psi. Front tires are showing wear, should rotate tires soon. Topped up washer fluid. Slight oil leak at PCV and oil cap – keep an eye on it, PCV is a common failure and may be pushing excess pressure. No other signs of an issue aside from very slight sign of oil leaking at this time.

    • Lots of faults stored but almost all where voltage related. Cleared faults and ran engine up to op temp to monitor running data. When engine warmed up camshaft phase position is ready 4.11 (service limit is 3-6*). Recommend timing chains replaced soon. Lots of vac at oil cap when running but no faults to suggest PCV issues, PCV is original and should be replaced when timing chains get done. Ignition coils are original. Spark plugs look in good shape, gap is .034 – recommend replace with timing chains and ignition coils just due to age. Cam girdle is leaking but oil does not show around lower timing cover very badly – car has barely been driven since last visit so not enough drive time to track down oil leaks. Battery very low on arrival but car has not been driven. Put on charger to charge to full and will perform battery test once charged.
    • Replaced the timing chains, tensioners, guides, both upper and lower timing covers, cam bridge, all necessary hardware/parts. Torqued all to spec and followed factory procedures for repair. Test drove afterwards and had no issues.
    • Re-sealed the cam girdle and replaced all proper hardware, also torqued to spec. Used factory procedures as well for re-seal, along with factory sealant. No leaks.
    • Replaced the PCV valve, torqued to spec. Confirmed to leaks after installation.
    • Replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils, torqued to spec. Confirmed no misfires afterward.
    • Charged battery to full and performed test, tested at 50% capacity after charge. Recommend replace battery. Replaced battery during re-assembly, performed battery coding and verified no faults after test drive after battery replacement. Engine no longer lugs on startup.

    • Changed engine oil and filter. Reset service reminder. TPMS light was on – DS front tire was at 32psi. Set all 4 to 35psi and reset tpms. Coolant was slightly low – topped up to full mark. No visible coolant leaks at this time. Engine bay is very dirty and has rodent debris, recommend having engine bay cleaned soon.

    • Performed complete inspection and scanned obd2 – no faults stored. No visible oil leaks on engine or transmission/drivetrain. Brakes are in good condition with lots of life left. Tires are in good condition – equal wear front to rear – rotation not recommended at this time. Removed air filters for inspection – both where clean but had some minor debris. Recommend filter service at next change oil change (k&n reusable filters). Checked tire pressure – 38psi front and rear. Reset tpms and reset service reminder. Found upper rearward control arm bushing is torn almost all the way through. Lower front control arm on PS is torn through. Recommend replacing upper and lower control arms. There is no noises or clunks currently so it is not an immediate concern – tire wear indicates no significant movement from bushings at this time.

    • Rotated tires front to back, set tire pressure to 35psi all 4, reset TPMS. Replaced engine oil and filter – set oil level to full on screen. No visible oil or coolant leaks on engine, transmission or rear differential. Brakes are in poor condition – will need pads and rotors when due – pads are around 30% life left. Front upper control arm bushings are cracking/torn. Topped up washer fluid – low warning light was on o/a. DEF has evidence of recent fill, put in 2 bottles (1gal).

    • Changed spark plugs, engine oil and filter, engine air filter and cabin air filter. Flushed brake system with new fluid, used 1L of new brake fluid. Valve cover gaskets leaking oil. Coolant level slightly low o/a. Topped up to full mark – monitor at next oil change. Tires are in almost new condition, set pressures to 35psi and reset TPMS. Reset service reminder.
    • Performed battery and system tests via battery testing tool. Battery tested OK but recommend charging and retesting. Battery life rated at only 35%. Charging system passed load test and ripple check for variable output alternator. Recommend battery due to low life and seeing if starter fault returns.
    • BATTERY – Remove & Replace – [Includes: Programming]

    • Drained transmission and removed AT pan. Replaced AT filter, gasket and bolts. Torqued bolts to spec and refilled transmission. Followed proceedure from Audi to set transmission fluid level to full. Used 4L of new transmission fluid.
    • Removed lower panel to access fuel filter. Panel had been previously removed, several fasteners where missing, pulled through paneling or missing. Panel is secured and should not present any issues in the future. Also notice panel on DS had 2 fasteners pulled out, re-attached so panel is no longer hanging down. Replaced fuel filter with new.
