    • Started car to pull in and heard VERY loud metallic grinding noise, inspected while idling and found AC compressor is very loud. Shut off engine and found metal debris in ac clutch, ac compressor or clutch has had serious failure and is eating itself. There is metal shaving all around compressor. Recommend new ac compressor. Noise is audible using scope on alternator and bracket, but due to visible issue with ac compressor do no suspect any other issues at this time. All 4 tires were around 25psi – set tire pressures and reset tpms. Cleared faults – no lights on dash during test drive. Topped up washer fluid.
    • Removed radiator fan and belt and removed old compressor. AC clutch has failed and noise is obvious spinning by hand. Installed new compressor and new belt. Ran engine and noise is gone, AC blows nice and cold
    • Evacuated system and there was about 1lb refrigerant in system – this indicates no leaks present. After compressor replacement pulled vac on system for 15min and tested for leaks. No leaks found. Refilled with specified amount of refrigerant, added about 1oz of oil to system during refill. Compressor cycles on/off normally

    • Replaced engine oil and filter, reset service reminder. Performed inspection during service, found inner cv boot on passenger side has been spitting grease for some time – grease on oil filter housing and subframe around boot. Looks like slight oil leak at oil filter adaptor. Transmission has some oil residue as well but cannot see source of leak at this time. Bushings and suspension in good shape, no leaks found on rear differential, exhaust is in good shape, brakes have lots of life and rotors are in good shape. Checked/set tire pressures, topped up washer fluid and reset service reminder.
    • Tires were recently installed for winter, rotation not recommended at this time. Checked tire pressures.
    • Engine air filter looks brand new – did not replace. Removed cabin air filter and replaced with new. Drive belts are in good shape at this time.
    • Brake fluid is like new, replacement not recommended at this time

    • Car was towed down but driven into parking spot, pulled into shop and heard no irregular noises. Inspected brakes, suspension and underside of vehicle – found no evidence of damage or contact. No noises are present at this time. Was able to see complete under carriage, exhaust, heat shields, under body protection, engine under tray etc and no where under the vehicle had any signs of contact or dragging. Brake pads are getting a little low but are fine, there is surface rust on rotors from sitting but nothing of concern. Found no issues or concerns during inspection or test drive. Contacted customer and got full story on how/when noise was happening, they mentioned a clunk when reversing with the wheel turned right and seemed to make more noise when turned right during incident. Test drove for over 10mi in various road conditions, around town and on hwy trying to replicate noise. Could not replicate concern.

    • Completed replacement of both front struts. Replaced top hats, swivel bearings, bump stops and dust boots. Torqued hardware to spec. NOTE: TPMS light on upon arrival, DRL light is on upon arrival and the passenger front lamp is out. Check engine light is on. Scanned faults and printed report. Front and rear bumper covers both hanging off a little. Door locks are repeatedly locking when driving vehicle. Transmission faults and leaking fluid. Found the rubber plug in the transmission missing and blowing fluid everywhere.
    • Replaced both of the rear struts. Also replaced the dust boots and bump stops, torqued hardware to spec. Old shocks were completely blown and leaking, no more sag in the rear.
    • Installed new breather and plug. Cleaned transmission top and bottom. Fluid level does not read on dipstick. FIlled with 1.6L of new fluid to full mark on dipstick. Test drove and made sure trans functions normally. Recommend keeping closer eye on plug, pressure build up due to heat can cause it to pop. Fault has not returned. Fluid level needs to be checked in case plug pops out and fluid loss occurs.

    • Evacuated system and found 13oz of refrigerant (minimum is 16.9). Pulled vac on system and performed leak test. Leak test passed, refilled system with new refrigerant. Once completed could hear compressor kick on and AC blew nice and cold. CEL and several dash lights o/a. Plastic piece (control arm protection) is dangling under vehicle.

    • Scanned vehicle, found fault codes: P0843 – transmission fluid pressure switch 'A' – 2nd clutch, circuit high. Found missing plug (?) from top of transmission and transmission fluid leaking from opening. Rear shocks are blown, steering rack leaking at steering shaft input, nothing appears bent in rear suspension causing abnormal alignment – tires all worn evenly. Rear brakes are in really rough condition, looks like pads where installed with VERY worn rotors. Recommend replacement soon. Missing plug is fill plug, recommend transmission fluid change, install plug, clean vent plug and test.
    • Drained fluid and installed missing plug. Removed vent cap and cleaned. Filled transmission oil and ran up to operating temp, checked level and filled to full mark on dipstick. Cleared faults and test drove. Engine bay should be cleaned, transmission area is very dirty and has oil residue/grime all over, power steering fluid is very dark and looks like may have slight leak at reservoir.

    • TPMS light on due to failed sensor (3 and 4). Replaced headlight bulbs (both). Both bulbs now work high and low beam. Topped up oil was a tad low. Tire pressures where set WAY too high, lowered to recommended pressures on door sticker and reset tpms.
