Both low beams worked o/a. After cycling ignition and lights on/off, DS low beam went out. Wiggled wires where previous repair was made and low beam flickered and came back on. Un wrapped wires and found 1 wire had poor connection. Replaced all 3 connections with weather proof repair – lights function as expected, wiggling harness does not effect light anymore. Put vehicle up on lift to inspect exhaust. Found heat sheild between exhaust and driveshaft was damaged, bent and contacting drive line and exhaust. Exhaust has small leak at junction in middle portion. Also found heat shields on front portion loose – at worst spot was able to put hose clamp to quiet down rattling sound. Front 2 pipes both have loose shields but at present they are not rattling at idle.

DS window switch is bad and should be replaced. Recommend starting with that switch panel and seeing if issues persists.
Removed door panel and replaced window switch assembly. Verified function after re-assembly. All windows roll down with switch etc. Found both DS tires VERY low on air, DS rear was at 15psi. Set all 4 tires to 35psi.

Front pads/rotors are in OK condition. Evidence of vibration/rust more on DS than PS. Pads are about 2-3mm of pad left. Lower rearward control arms are starting to crack, tire wear appears good, no noises noticed. Brakes are not unsafe, but if noise is annoying recommend pads and rotors up front. Brake pedal feels a little soft, recommend fluid flush if not done in last year.

Ran transmission up to temp and checked fluid level – low. Had to cool off trans and add fluid to re-check level. Transmission took almost 3 liters to refill to spec. Test drove to make sure trans felt OK.

CEL came on while driving. Codes stored o/a P2763 Torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid and P0700 Transmission control system When we see these codes it generally means the car needs a new valve body in the transmission. Subaru extended warranty on transmission to over 100k so check with dealership for warranty coverage.

Scanned faults and found same solenoid fault stored as last time. Recommend replacing valve body.
Replaced valve body and refilled transmission with new fluid. Test drove for 30mi with no issue over 3 different drives. Transmission shifts smoothly and no CEL after test drives.

Changed engine oil and filter. Oil was at bottom of dipstick o/a – recommend more frequent oil level checks. Slight weap of oil near crank seal and on DS head gasket – Monitor at next oil service. Lower rearward control arm bushings cracking. Tires had more wear on front tires – rotated front to back. Set tires pressure to 35psi all 4 and torqued wheel lug nuts to spec (all 4). No codes stores, belts OK, suspension OK, Exhaust OK, Drivetrain OK

Found fault in history: P2097 – rear O2 sensor, rich. Monitored O2 sensor data – with engine at full operating temp rear sensor stays at .8v regardless of engine speed, front sensor (AF sensor) stays between 1.01v and 1.03v indicating a faulty front sensor. Fuel pressure tests okay, mass air and intake air temp within spec. Re-checked wiring for O2 sensors – all okay. Rear sensor seems to be functioning as designed indicating catalytic converter is operating as designed. Noticed high engine vacuum during a hot idle. Suspect front sensor is failing and possible PCV issue. Replaced front A/F sensor. Cleared fault and road tested while monitoring sensor data. Both sensors are now reading correctly and no faults set. Put over 45mi on test drives, no fault code returned.
Changed engine oil and filter – used 4.5L 5w30 synthetic. **Level was correct before draining**
