    • Removed intercooler to install AOS kit as supplied. Had to remove upper strut bar, intercooler and TB to complete installation. Installed coolant supply to AOS and ran breather hoses to valve cover. Drain back hose ran behind turbocharger to help with icing in winter. Recommend checking level after track sessions and keep a close eye on oil level. Oil was at low mark on dipstick, topped up to almost full with 5w-40 Motul Xcess but didn't have quite enough to get to full line. Found both outer front cv joint boots leaking grease, BIG mess on caliper and wheel. Due to heavy track use, recommend new axles both sides. Inner boot on DS is also torn open and leaking grease.
    • Removed both axle assemblies and cleaned grease off knuckle/brakes/control arms – did not clean wheels. Re-installed with new axle nuts torqued to spec from Subaru.
    • Replaced both output shaft seals – topped up transmission fluid with Motul 300 gear oil after installation

    • Exhaust leak audible on startup – found missing nut on PS header, looks like both gaskets leaking slightly at cylinder head. Recommend new gaskets and replacement nut that is missing. Oil was not showing on the dipstick o/a – recommend more frequent oil level checks. Set tire pressure to 35psi all 4. Tires are in very good condition. Serpentine belt is cracking and will fail soon – recommend replacement asap. Replaced engine oil and filter, used 4.5L of new oil. Replaced engine air filter and cabin air filter. Flushed brake system with new fluid. Customer approved additional time + parts to fix exhaust leak and replace serpentine belt.
    • Found all remaining nuts on header studs loose – likely reason gaskets failed prematurely. Replaced missing nut and torqued to spec.

    • Removed drivers side front wheel to inspect brakes. Found 1 lug nut was cross threaded and the stud broke off trying to remove the nut. Front pads are almost metal on metal, rears have about 1mm of pad left on outer pad. Recommend pads and rotors, front and rear. If brake fluid has not been done in last year, recommend brake fluid flush.
    • Replaced front pads and rotors. Found old pads installed improperly causing binding. Outside pad on PS was down to metal, outside pad on DS was about half worn comparted to inside. Cleaned carriers and installed new sliders with the new pads so pads moved cleanly in carriers.
    • Replaced pads and rotors in rear. Found similar issues as found in front. Made sure pads moved in carriers and installed new pads.
    • Flushed system with new fluid until clean.

    • Both low beams worked o/a. After cycling ignition and lights on/off, DS low beam went out. Wiggled wires where previous repair was made and low beam flickered and came back on. Un wrapped wires and found 1 wire had poor connection. Replaced all 3 connections with weather proof repair – lights function as expected, wiggling harness does not effect light anymore. Put vehicle up on lift to inspect exhaust. Found heat sheild between exhaust and driveshaft was damaged, bent and contacting drive line and exhaust. Exhaust has small leak at junction in middle portion. Also found heat shields on front portion loose – at worst spot was able to put hose clamp to quiet down rattling sound. Front 2 pipes both have loose shields but at present they are not rattling at idle.

    • DS window switch is bad and should be replaced. Recommend starting with that switch panel and seeing if issues persists.
    • Removed door panel and replaced window switch assembly. Verified function after re-assembly. All windows roll down with switch etc. Found both DS tires VERY low on air, DS rear was at 15psi. Set all 4 tires to 35psi.

    • Front pads/rotors are in OK condition. Evidence of vibration/rust more on DS than PS. Pads are about 2-3mm of pad left. Lower rearward control arms are starting to crack, tire wear appears good, no noises noticed. Brakes are not unsafe, but if noise is annoying recommend pads and rotors up front. Brake pedal feels a little soft, recommend fluid flush if not done in last year.

    • Ran transmission up to temp and checked fluid level – low. Had to cool off trans and add fluid to re-check level. Transmission took almost 3 liters to refill to spec. Test drove to make sure trans felt OK.
