    • Removed the old water pump and replaced it with the new part, also replaced the water pump bolts and torqued them. Vacuum tested the coolant system for leaks and it passed. Also vacuum filled the system with coolant and completed factory bleed procedure. Test drove the vehicle afterwards to ensure the coolant system got all the way up to temp and the thermostat opened up like it should. Vehicle operated properly, checked coolant level when I got back, added a splash to it and its now good to go.
    • Replaced the thermostat and completed all the necessary operations to ensure successful replacement. Check water pump story for more details.

    • Pressure tested charge cooling system and no leaks found. Pressure tested main cooling system and found large leak of front of engine. Looks to be coming from radiator coolant hose or aux hose – visibility is poor, disassembly required to pinpoint leak. Removed needed components to access leak area, removed several coolant hoses to find, found small aux water pump on front of engine has hole in it. Recommend new pump and retest system after installation.
    • Completed the install of the auxiliary water pump after leak was found. Re-installed all proper parts and bled the coolant system. test drove afterwards to make sure there were no more leaks and the coolant was at the proper level. Good to go.

    • Performed obd2 scan – 8 faults stored in various modules – see full report. Engine module had 00459C Cylinder 1 smooth running controller – absent. Cleared faults and none returned. Tires are in good condition look almost new, brakes have been recently replaced (fr and R). Checked/set tire pressures to 35f 38r, reset tpms. Coolant level was below "low" mark – performed coolant pressure test @15psi. Over about 20min pressure dropped to 13psi – no visible external leaks at this time. Engine oil was just below "low" mark – topped up with 1L but oil level did not change. Performed test drive and brakes feel good, steering is tight, no vibrations felt. Suspect slight coolant leak but not visible at this time, keep eye on coolant level and check frequently to determine how much coolant it's going through. Rear lower valance is damaged, scuff on PS rear wheel well in front of tire also. "close rear hatch" comes on randomly – checked and it is closed.

    • Attempted to program but ran into errors each time. Used several tools and could not get DSC module to code/program correctly. DSC/ABS module is in need of replacement.
    • Removed steering wheel and installed new steering angle sensor.

    • Found 2 tires on car dated 2015 and 2 dated 2018. Customer states 2 tires where replaced at BMW Seattle less than a year ago. The 2 older tires where mounted on the DS of the car and the 2 newer tires where on the PS. We mounted the new set of tires on the front of the car and moved the 2 good 2018 tires to the rear of the car. Recommend checking tire pressures again after 1000mi of driving.
