    • 002C58 Charge pressure control, switch off as consequence 002D55 Exhaust variable camshaft timing control, cold start not controllable Faults stored o/a, indicating issue with VANOS or cam adjuster. Other faults not active for brake pad wear on front and FRM module for right side marker lamp faulty. Transmission has oil leak on it, looks to be from output seal on ds. Transfer case has oil drip on it as well but looks like coming from engine oil leak at oil pan. Oil pan is wet around seam – looks to be leaking, oil leak around crank pulley/timing cover area as well. Brakes have recently been replaced, tires are in very good condition, serpentine belt has been replaced but tensioner and drive wheel are older looking. Due to faults stored for vanos, agree that adjusters and chains should be replaced due to mileage. Recommend water pump and thermostat due to mileage as well.

    • Performed complete inspection and all the noted items, tires are a bit worn – rotated front to rear. No leaks visible on engine or transmission. Serpentine belt looks old but is not showing cracking – recommend replacing due to age at next oil change. Topped up washer fluid. Changed engine oil and filter and reset service reminder. Flushed brake fluid system – found air in 2 of the 4 and fluid was getting dark. Brakes are in great shape. Replaced engine air fitler – it was pretty dirty and dusty. Replaced cabin air filter – had some rodent debris but very minimal, filter very dusty. Lower rearward control arm bushings are starting to seperate and crack, but still feel firm at this time. Set all 4 tires to 35psi after rotation and torqued 2x to factory recommned torque spec.

    • Performed complete inspection and all noted items for inspection, found brakes are about 4-5mm all 4, will be due soon. Tires are in good condition but due for rotation, rotated front to rear, set tire pressures and reset tpms. Drained and refilled transfer case and rear differential. Performed drain and refill on transmission 2x – used 6L of new fluid. Used scan tool to set fluid level after service. No visible leaks from engine or transmission, under carriage is in good condition. Recommend serpentine belt at next oil service. Engine air filter looked almost new, replaced cabin air filter. Reset service reminder. Engine oil filter was collapsing – recommend more frequent oil changes. Flushed brake system with new fluid (all 4 corners). Topped up washer fluid and performed test drive. No issues noticed on test drive. Next oil service recommended at 80k.

    • Removed interior panel to access front connection for cable and removed cables. Had to remove both rear drum brake assemblies to remove cables at rear. Bolt snapped off removing 1 bracket on PS cable, cable is still secured without bracket but bolt will need to be drilled out and repaired to re-install bracket. Installed new cables and re-assembled drum brakes, confirm function and adjustment of ebrake cables.

    • Vehicle had audible misfire and flashing check engine light on arrival, customer stated they had no idea when plugs where last replaced so we replaced spark plugs and ignition wires due to age. Found 2 spark plugs covered in burnt oil – spark plug tube seals are leaking on both banks. Replaced spark plugs and wires and started engine, misfires are no longer present Battery terminals where corroded – cleaned and sprayed protective spray on terminals. Engine air filter is VERY dirty, recommend replacement soon. Noticed on alternator 1 wire is broken at connector – alternator output 14.2v at idle. Recommend wire repair ASAP, wire is broken at connector so new pin will be required for repair. Checked engine oil level, coolant and tire pressures and set all to correct levels before test drive. Engine oil was about 1qt low o/a – topped up with synthetic 5w30 to full mark. Monitored misfire data while driving, car drove smooth and accelerated easily to hwy speed.

    • Pressure tested charge cooling system and no leaks found. Pressure tested main cooling system and found large leak of front of engine. Looks to be coming from radiator coolant hose or aux hose – visibility is poor, disassembly required to pinpoint leak. Removed needed components to access leak area, removed several coolant hoses to find, found small aux water pump on front of engine has hole in it. Recommend new pump and retest system after installation.
    • Completed the install of the auxiliary water pump after leak was found. Re-installed all proper parts and bled the coolant system. test drove afterwards to make sure there were no more leaks and the coolant was at the proper level. Good to go.

    • Drove the vehicle inside, put my Multimeter on it to test the battery voltage while running, it was hanging around 14.00V which is totally normal. Checked codes and didnt find anything besides an insufficient voltage code in the airbag module, cleared code and did not come back. Went to go test the battery and found that the positive battery terminal was loose and sliding around. Loosened it and bent it back to proper shape, pushed it all the way down the terminal and tightened it. Now both terminals are nice and tight. Good to go.

    • Scanned faults and found 1 stored in abs/vsc – steering angle sensor. 7 Faults in TPMS (low pressure and no communication). All faults listed as "history". Cleared faults and test drove, no lights came on and got over 35mph 2x. Found PS front shocks is blown and leaking oil, DS lower ball joint is VERY loose – recommend replacement ASAP. During test drive noticed very loud wheel bearing – sounds like LF but need to verify with stethescope. Scoped all 4 wheel bearing with car running in air – DS front and passenger rear are both very loud, PS rear is noisy but not as bad as other 2. Recommend all 4 be replaced sooner than later.
    • Replaced both lower ball joints with new, replaced castle nuts, torqued to spec and installed new cotter pins.
    • Replaced front shocks and upper mounts. Installed in vehicle and torqued all fasteners to factory specifications.
    • Removed wheel hubs from vehicle and replaced both front wheel bearings with new hub/bearing assemblies. Replaced all 4 bolts on DS due to rust.
    • Performed front end alignment. Set camber and toe within factory specifications. Caster had slight split but not too far to be concerned about. PS front toe had over 2* of toe in. Rear toe is slightly out but rear wheel bearings are needed. Recommend wheel bearings and fresh alignment check after install.
